Phi

Alpha

Delta.

UCSB's premier pre-law fraternity

"Love of humanity    and justice for all."

"I think fraternalism is the inclusion of people from many different backgrounds into one united family. It's the principle of support and empathy for others and most of all it's a family  for life."

-Hélène Rault

We stand for...

We stand for. . .

Professionalism

Phi Alpha Delta prides itself on its professionalism and we strive for it in everything we do.

Our goal is to prepare our members for the business world and to educate them about the legal field.

Through our participation in UCSB's Professional Greek Council, Career Center Student Organization Partnership, and our professional development events -

we enable our members to be prepared for any professional environment they intend to pursue.

Community Service

"Service to the Community" is one of the main tenants of Phi Alpha Delta.

Our members work with local groups and organizations to make UCSB, Isla Vista, and the surrounding counties a better place to live in for everyone.

We want to give back to the place that has given us a chance to grow as students and further our endeavors.

We volunteer at a variety of community orgs such as:

  â€‹

  • Adopt-A-Block Isla Vista

  • Beach Clean Up

  • Santa Barbara Environmental Defense Center

We also host UndAware, a community service event aimed at sending hygiene products and cards to homeless women in our area.

Fraternalism

For PAD, fraternalism means different things to each of us:

"Fraternalism, as I have learned it to be through PAD, is defined as the congregation of individuals who are prepared to go beyond the lines of friendship and enter a brotherly and sisterly bond."

- Diane Torres

"One love." - Kevin Simms

"Fraternalism to me means putting the fraternal bond before oneself. It represents the idea that members of PAD don’t always have to see eye to eye on every issue to trust, work with and support one other."

-Andrew Quach
